Pokémon Starter Generator
Starter Pokémon, or first partner Pokémon, are the Pokémon chosen by trainers at the beginning of their journey in the game. These Pokémon serve as companions in the early stages of the game.
In most Pokémon games, new players can choose one Pokémon from three available options. These starter Pokémon are typically of the grass, water, or fire types.
In the 9th generation of Pokémon, there are approximately 27 starter Pokémon available across all generations from 1 to 9.
Starter Pokémon are the companions for every beginner player in Pokémon games, so it’s crucial to choose them wisely. Each starter Pokémon has strengths and weaknesses that depend on the types of opponents faced.
At the start of the game, most Pokémon games allow players to choose their starter Pokémon. Some of the games where players can select their starter Pokémon include Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, Pokémon Red, Green, Blue, FireRed, and LeafGreen.
Many trainers prefer to have these starter Pokémon on their team because they have balanced stats and strong abilities. Therefore, skillful trainers—including gym leaders, the Elite Four, and even Pokémon Champions—may continue to use their partner Pokémon, often making them the most powerful members of their teams.
Although starter Pokémon are not considered legendary, some have achieved iconic status due to their importance in the Pokémon universe. For instance, Charizard (evolved from Charmander) is a fan favorite and is even featured in Pokémon tournaments.
These starter Pokémon are not only important in the games but also have significant roles in the Pokémon anime.
For instance, let me demonstrate how I generated random starter Pokémon from our Pokémon randomizer.
Let’s say I want to generate starter Pokémon from the 6th generation, so I selected “6th” from the generation dropdown menu. Then, I checked the checkbox for “starter” and clicked on “generate.” This tool showed me 3 available starter Pokémon from the 6th generation, as you can see below in the image.
I got these three: Chespin (Type: Grass), Froakie (Water-type), and Fennekin (Fire-type).
You can see the accuracy of our Pokémon randomizer, as it is showing totally accurate results according to my selections. As I mentioned, these starter types are Water, Fire, and Grass. So, we can proudly say that this tool also serves the functionality of a random starter Pokémon generator without charging a single penny.

Pokémon Facts
Let’s explore some unknown and fun facts about Pokémon that most fans are not familiar with.
Pokémon Can Have Multiple Types:
Pokémon can have multiple types, which is known as dual typing. This means some Pokémon can have two types, and each type has its own strengths and weaknesses. Due to dual typing, Pokémon can have effective moves but also face more vulnerabilities. For example, Charizard is a Fire/Flying-type, which means it is strong against Grass but weak to Water and Electric-type moves.
Dual typing has advantages and disadvantages, which is why it requires strategic planning from trainers.
Legendary Pokémon Are Rare:
Legendary Pokémon are rare because of their powerful abilities and limited availability. They usually appear only once in a game and require specific conditions to be captured, such as completing the main story or participating in special events. Their designs are more elaborate than regular Pokémon, reflecting their importance.
There Are Over 1000 Pokémon:
The Pokémon universe has over 1,000 species, and all that started with 151 in the first games. When new generations came, they introduced more Pokémon with unique designs, abilities, and types. By this way, evolution, Legendary, and mythical Pokémon increased the total number of Pokémon. Every game adds more Pokémon, which is expanding the Pokémon world for players and trainers.
